The United States Senate Youth Program is an educational program for juniors and seniors high school students interested in public service. The programs are held in Washington, D.C., in March. Two student leaders from each state will spend a week in Washington watching the government at work.  They will hear policy addresses by Senators, cabinet members, officials from the Departments of State and Defense and directors of other federal agencies, as well as participate in a meeting with a Justice of the U.S. Supreme Court.  Transportation and other expenses will be provided by The Hearst Foundations, the program sponsor.

Each delegate will also receive a $5,000 College Scholarship for undergraduate studies.

Deadlines vary by state but range from late August to mid November.
