The Theodore Roosevelt Inaugural National Historic Site is sponsoring a public speaking contest for high school students in grades 9 through 12 who live in Western New York State. 

Using independent research, students are asked examine the life and career of President Roosevelt and write and deliver a 5 minute speech.

The first prize is $1,000 and all participants get a certificate of participation.  Students must register by February 23, 2013.  Call the site with any questions at 716-884-0095.
