Using the theme "Celebrating African-American Leaders in Business — Past, Present and Future", the state of Florida is sponsoring art and essay contests for students in grade K – 12.

Students in grades K-3 are asked to submit a picture of an African-American leader in their community.  Student in grades 4 -12 are asked to write an essay on similar theme.

The deadline for application submissions is February 11, 2011 and winners will be announced on February 21, 2011. More information can be found on the Florida Black History Website.
