Win a College Scholarship in 140 Characters – KFC Scholarship

That’s right after years of offering traditional scholarships based on an essay; KFC is awarding a $20,000 scholarship to the high school senior who creates the best tweet.  They’ll be looking for creativity of the application (40%), ability of applicant to tell a compelling story on why they should receive the Scholarship award (30%), applicant’s entrepreneurial drive and display of desire to pursue a college education (30%).  Putting that all in 140 characters is your challenge.  Each tweet must have the hash tag #KFCScholar.  The deadline is November 26th and the winner will be announced on December 1st.  You can go to their website and read the annoucement and learn all about the rules for the KFC Colonel’s Scholars® program.  Write, rewrite and edit, because you only get one chance to do this, multiple entries from a twitter account or even a household will disqualify you.

Regular applications for the KFC Colonel’s Scholars program will begin December 1, 2010 (don't miss another scholarship, subscribe to the free newsletter).
