Every year the EngineerGirl Essay Contest asks boys and girls to write an essay about a different subject.

This year the theme is sports. Think about a sport and the different kinds of technologies that are used in playing, scoring, or training for that sport. From something as seemingly-simple as the fabric for a uniform to high-speed cameras and biosensors, technology is essential to the way we experience sports, and engineers make all those technologies possible!

American Chemical Society Scholars Program

If you are an African American, Native American or Hispanic student interested in studying a chemically-related field, the American Chemical Society Scholars Program can help pay your way.

They offer renewable scholarships of up to $5,000 to eligible students who want to study of chemistry or chemistry-related fields, such as environmental science, toxicology and chemical technology. High school seniors and college freshmen, sophomores, or juniors are eligible to apply.

The Maureen L. & Howard N. Blitman, P.E., Scholarship to Promote Diversity in Engineering

The Maureen L. and Howard N. Blitman, P.E., Scholarship to Promote Diversity in Engineering is for high school seniors who are ethnic minorities. To receive the scholarship, you must be accepted into an ABET-accredited engineering program at a four-year college or university.

National Presbyterian College Scholarship

The National Presbyterian College Scholarship program assists Presbyterian students attending Presbyterian related schools.

Twenty-five to thirty students will be selected for award and it is renewable if the students maintain a 2.5 GPA, participate in campus ministry and other activities.

The DuPont Challenge Science Essay Competition for Elementary School Students

Participation in the DuPont Challenge Science Essay Competition for Elementary School Students is dependant on the grade. Younger students participate as part of a classroom project. Older students can participate in groups of two to four students.

LIFE Lessons Scholarship Program
