Louie F. Cox Memorial AK Steel Foundation African-American Scholarships

This $20,000 four year scholarship is to reward outstanding high school seniors for academic and non-academic achievements.  The applicant must be an African-American high school senior living in Butler or Warren County in Ohio.  The deadline for submission is December 31, 2012.

Minnesota Association of Townships Scholarships for High School Juniors

Every year the Minnesota Association of Townships offers four $1000 scholarships to high school Juniors in the state of Minnesota. Applications must be submitted by May 1, 2013.

Moorpark College Foundation Scholarships

The Moorpark College Foundation is a nonprofit organization that awards scholarships to students at Moorpark College in Moorpark, California.  In the past year over $100,000 was given away to 159 students. The awards scholarships ranged from $250 to $2000.

 

Sacramento State’s Computer Science Department Receives $1.1 Million NSF Grant

Central Connecticut State University Receives $8 Million Gift for Scholarships

The $8 million gift from the Carol A. Ammon Foundation is the largest gift ever received by Central Connecticut State University.  The gift will be used to fund student scholarships and academic program support.  Carol A.

Scholarships for Housatonic Community College Students

The Manufacturer's Association of Southern Connecticut, Inc. has given $192,000 to support scholarships for Housatonic Community College students living in greater Bridgeport and studying technology, pre-engineering and pre-environmental sciences.  The income from the gift is expected to support up to a half-dozen students each year.

Branstad-Reynolds Scholarship Fund Created For Iowa Students

Gov.-Elect Terry Branstad of Iowa announce the formation of the Branstad-Reynolds Scholarship Fund "This fund will help Iowa students pursuing a higher education in Iowa offset the costs related to obtaining that education."

The annual scholarships will be awarded in three areas:

Agriculture Scholarship
The Agriculture Scholarship recognizes outstanding Iowa high school students or undergraduates pursuing a degree in the field of agriculture.

Colorado College Creates Scholarships With Grant from the Walton Family Foundation

A $10 million grant from the Walton Family Foundation to Colorado College matched with other funds has created a $20 million infusion of scholarship money for high-need and first-generation students.

Northern California National Football Foundation & College Hall of Fame Scholarships

Are you a high school football star?  Do you live in the Bay Area?  Then you may be eligible for a football scholarship from the Northern California Chapter of the National Football Foundation & College Hall of Fame.  They will be awarding Twenty-four $1,000 scholarships are awarded to players who are seniors and possess a 3.0 grade point average. The deadline for this scholarship is December 10th.

Women Leading Kentucky Scholarships

The Women Leading Kentucky is a professional network of women and men committed to helping women lead, learn, achieve and give back.  They offer two scholarships to young women in Kentucky, one for college Freshmen, Sophomores and Juniors and the other for high school seniors.  Both scholarships require a 300 word essay.
