Gov.-Elect Terry Branstad of Iowa announce the formation of the Branstad-Reynolds Scholarship Fund "This fund will help Iowa students pursuing a higher education in Iowa offset the costs related to obtaining that education."

The annual scholarships will be awarded in three areas:

Agriculture Scholarship
The Agriculture Scholarship recognizes outstanding Iowa high school students or undergraduates pursuing a degree in the field of agriculture.

Medical & Health Related Scholarship
The Medical and Health Related Scholarship recognizes outstanding Iowa high school students or undergraduates pursuing a degree in a medical or health-related field of study.

Children of Fallen Service Members Scholarship
The Children of Fallen Service Members Scholarship recognizes outstanding Iowa high school students or undergraduates who are the children of service members who gave their lives on active duty since September 11, 2001.
