UCB Family Epilepsy Scholarship Program

You must have epilepsy or be a family member* of someone who does and be a high school senior or college student.

The UCB Family Epilepsy Scholarship Program provides funding for people living with epilepsy and their family members, and/or caregivers who demonstrate academic and personal achievement.

The scholarship applicants will be evaluated on their personal excellence, community achievements and determination to overcome seizures that interrupt daily life. 

The scholarship can be used for colleges, graduate schools and technical schools.

Eligibility:

  • A US citizen and/or a legal and permanent resident of the United States
  • A person living with epilepsy or a family member/caregiver* of a person living with epilepsy
  • Seeking an undergraduate or graduate degree
  • A student who demonstrates achievement, possesses a strong record of participation in activities outside of school, and serves as a positive role model
  • Graduating from high school this year or have already graduated from high school
  • Enrolled in, or awaiting acceptance from, a United States–based center for higher learning for fall semester
  • Not a previous recipient of the UCB Family Epilepsy Scholarship ProgramTM

* A family member is any immediate family member, such as a mother, father, brother, sister, etc. Cousins, aunts, uncles, etc, may only be considered family members if they are living in the same household as the person with epilepsy.
