Cancer Survivor Scholarship
California Young Cancer Survivor Scholarship Program
The American Cancer Society, California Division, Inc. Young Cancer Survivor Scholarship Program awards stipends of up to $7500 per academic year for educational expenses to college-bound pediatric cancer survivors in need of financial aid. The deadline is April 23, 2013.

The GEAR UP program provides grants to local governments, some of the funds are also used to provide college scholarships to low-income students. The program is a Federal discretionary grant program whose purpose is to increase the number of low-income students who are prepared to enter and succeed in postsecondary education. GEAR UP (Gaining Early Awareness and Readiness for Undergraduate Programs) serves students beginning no later than the seventh grade and follows them through high school.
