Gordon A. Rich Memorial Scholarship Program

The Gordon A. Rich Memorial Foundation awards a maximum of five scholarships a year, the amount of each awards is up to $12,500.00 renewable for four years. Called the Gordon A. Rich Memorial Scholarship Program, it was created to honor Gordon Rich who was involved in the financial services industry. He was an athelete, pianist, chef and wine connoissuer. He was also an advisor to corporations. 

The recipients of GAR scholarships are exceptionally qualified high school students with demonstrated financial need whose parents or guardians have, or had, a career in the financial services industry. If your parents worked for any of these companies you meet the industry requirement (even though the list is not exhaustive, there are almost 600 companies on the list). If you feel that a company which is not on the list meets this definition, please send an email to info@gordonrich.org with the name, location, phone number, and description of the organization.

Eligibility:

  • Parents and/or legal guardians of the students applying must have, or had, a career in the financial services industry.
  • Students must be graduating high school seniors who are enrolling as full time first year students in pursuit of a four-year bachelor's degree at an accredited college/university in the United States.
  • Students must demonstrate financial need.
  • Students must have a minimum grade point average of 3.5 (on a 4.0 scale) and rank in the top 20% of their class.
  • Students must be a US citizen or legal resident.
