Bright Flight Program

A merit-based scholarship is available from the Missouri Department of Higher Education to students scoring in the top 5% of the ACT or SAT.  The score must be on the June test date of their senior year of high school. 

Students must enroll full time at a participating Missouri school (pdf) to receive the Bright Flight Program scholarship.
 

Access Missouri Financial Assistance Program

Missouri students who have a financial need based on their Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) may be eligible for assistance from the Missouri State Government.  In order to be eligible the Expected Family Contribution (EFC) must be $12,000 or less and the student must attend a participating Missouri school (pdf).

 

GEAR UP Scholarships

The GEAR UP program provides grants to local governments, some of the funds are also used to provide college scholarships to low-income students.  The program is a Federal discretionary grant program whose purpose is to increase the number of low-income students who are prepared to enter and succeed in postsecondary education.  GEAR UP (Gaining Early Awareness and Readiness for Undergraduate Programs) serves students beginning no later than the seventh grade and follows them through high school.
