The American Legion Legacy Scholarship

Maximum Award:
The scholarship has been in the $2000 to $3000 range, but it depends on the principal in the trust fund. It can be renewable for up to six years.
Eligibility:
High school and college students (see comments) The American Legion Legacy Scholarship is offered to high school seniors and college students whose parents died in active duty in the military after September 11, 2001.
Eligibility:
You must be the child or legally adopted child or a child of a spouse by a prior marriage or dependent child as defined by the United States Armed Services of active duty United States military and National Guard, and military reservists who were federalized and die on active duty on or after September 11, 2001.
