Comments:
You must be a child or dependent of an AFSCME member. If you are a high school senior who is child or dependent of an AFSCME member planning to attend a college or university you may be eligible for the AFSCME Family Scholarship Program.
The program provides ten $2,000 scholarships to students that will be renewed for $2,000 each year for a maximum of four years, provided you maintain full-time status. The scholarship may be used for any field of study.
You apply by completing the application (pdf) and all support documentation (essay, transcripts, letters of recommendations, SAT or ACT scores, proof of AFSCME membership, etc.), and mailing them together in one envelope by the deadline.
Eligibility:
- Be a graduating high school senior
- Be a daughter, son or financially dependent grandchild of an active or retired, full dues-paying AFSCME member.
- Be an applicant to an accredited college or university and subsequently accepted as a full-time student in a four year degree program.
