Peace First is an organization that believes that young people have the power and the inclination to create positive change around them. They are dedicated to teaching peacemaking skills to youth. They offer the Peace First Prize recognizing leading youth peacemakers who are focused on creating peaceful schools and communities. The winners will receive a 2-year, $50,000 Fellowship to further their peacemaking work.

By giving young people the tools, skills, and experiences to demonstrate compassion and empathy, Peace First helps young become engaged leaders in their communities.

Eligibility:

• You must be a citizens or legal resident of the United States
• You must be between the ages of 8 and 22 years old (as of January 1, 2014)
• Your project must have taken place in the United States
