Intel Science Talent Search
The Intel Science Talent Search competition is a well
respected and highly regarded science competition. Every year it attracts about 1600 student who have done serious
work on a science project. The field of
1,600 is narrowed to 300 semifinalists. Finally, the top 40 best applicants compete for $1.25 million in awards
and scholarships.
Awards
The grand prize winner of Intel STS is awarded a $100,000 four-year scholarship. The second place winner receives $75,000, and the third place winner $50,000. The fourth through sixth place winners each receive $25,000. The seventh through tenth place winners each receive $20,000.
